I've had this about a month and haven't had a lot of time to explore its capabilities, but that'll come. I don't plan on throwing a lot of money at it or taking it out to the Rio Puerco and tearing it up and fixing it back up again. It's good for exploring old dirt backroads, though. I think I'm going to like this X, though.

That's what we all said. Congrats, and good luck with that. The mod bug bites when you can least afford it.... Oh, and it's a terminal illness.

...I don't plan on throwing a lot of money at it...
Get off this forum now if you actually mean it, lol.

I said the same thing - even defended it to my buddies - and with less than 7 months of ownership I've put enough $$ into it that I prefer to NOT add it up, lol. Swore up and down I'd "leave it as is" and just pile the miles on....currently researching and shopping the VK56 swap, lol

First it was tinting the front windows. Then adding the side trim. Then a double din DVD head unit. Then I was FORCED to get new wheels and tires (I got a flat and the tire wasn't repairable...what was I supposed to do??? lol). Then I didn't like the rake so I bought spacers for the front to level it out. Then new shocks. Upgraded brakes. Upgraded headlight bulbs. Ordering a 40" led light bar once tax returns come in because I NEED more light at night.

You see how this works...

Your gonna come across a steep incline during one of your adventures, at first you will doubt your stock X's ability to climb it, but you'll try and you'll succeed. At that point you'll start looking for other things to conquer in your X. At some point you will find something you just can't climb or cross, and that's when the mod bug will hit you....."What kind of equipment do I need and how much will it cost?"

I thought I'd leave the X stock as well, figured it was more than capable in stock form to conquere the trails I wanted to run and get us to the spots we like for camping.....not even a month after wheeling it after purchase...new tires are coming, after the first day I had removed mud flaps and side steps lol

Ya sure... if you want that statement to remian true.. don't stick around here..

Otherwise this is what will happen:
The mere awesome truck stories and photos of perfectly modded Xterras you'll see here, will make you think yours looks like those.. then, you'll walk to your living room window and look out at your white virgin Xterra in the driveway and get a sinking feeling; "man.. mine doesn't look like this guys or that guys." ....

This will agitate the mod nerve in your brain-and you'll begin to research on this lovely site, and read more and more...then it will come slowly like this:

Oh just a little AAL suspension lift.. oh just a little tweak here and there... ...sooner or later you'll do something, maybe not right away.. but it'll come... ohhhhh it will come..

Btw .. Hey welcome aboard..«Nice truck.... ;)
