Most of my pop and clunk have come from ****ty shims. The OMEs are still noisy though, and pop on occasion.

Extended travel is amazing for mild/moderate wheeling. I'd say titan-swapping is for hard wheeling. Amazing how a couple of inches of extra travel does for your ride comfort. You don't even have to lift it, you can get extended travel w/ it at stock height, and actually have More travel than if it were lifted.

I can flex my price range if it gets me better/quieter ride.

I don't need extended travel, I don't do much hard wheeling. Commute on highway pavement every day, and a lot of rough gravel roads and logging roads. Just want a little lift and a nice handling, quiet ride.
I don't do hard wheeling but my kit works quite well for it. MK84 Front coilovers with SPC's and OME HD rear with extended 5100 Bils on 33" Wildpeak AT3W tires.

That said if you don't want that then go with the OME MD front coilovers (gives about 1.5" of lift and you don't have to change UCA) and General Springs HD rear leaf pack (gives roughly the same amount) as if you aren't planning on a decent lift or offroading Alcans are a waste imo. The GS can be had for around $300. Your rear shocks can be OME as well or 5100 Bils.

What spring rates are your MK84s?
I'm trying to decide between 600 and 650.

Those with OME HD Dakar's installed, should the rear "overload" leaf basically be touching the rest of the spring pack even with the X unloaded? I got my Dakar's installed and everything seems to be fine, but the overload leaf seems like it is basically part of the spring pack. Just curious if that is normal for these springs. I'm used to seeing more space there, more like the factory springs (as crappy as they are).

I bought my kit used at a great price and it came with 500lb springs. I'll be switching them out to 650lb when I get my front bumper.

Mine overloads seem to follow the curvature slightly but they don't touch the arch leafs. I started out as a MD pack but added the HD leaf. I also keep a good deal of stuff in my cargo at all times

Mine are definitely closer than that. I took a good look today and the passenger side is touching with the drivers side having about 1/4" or less before touching.

Anyone know if this is something out of the norm and to worry about or just how it is?
