I did a search for this, and could't find an answer, forgive me if this has already been covered.
2005 2nd gen with 6 speed manual. Started hearing a slight whirling noise when shifting, it stopped when I was in gear or in neutral but I could hear it when I pressed the clutch.
One day later, I pressed in the clutch, it stayed down and I could't shift.. Restarted the struck, wrested it into gear, then suddenly it was working fine. Just before I got home, same problem - now clutch pedal goes all the way to the floor, and feels like there is no hydraulic pressure to it.
Had the clutch replaced 30,000 miles ago. I'm not a total noob - I've replaced brakes and wheel bearings on this vehicle. From what I've read, it sounds like its the clutch master cylinder, but I CAN'T FIND IT! Found the slave cylinder easily enough, but I want to check the fluid in the master.
Suggestions? Glasses?
