I've had this issue for a while now and have been sharing my experience in a couple other threads so I thought I would start my own. It seems there are a few others having the same problem as well but no solutions anywhere I look.
History:
About 5 months ago I bought a Volant CAI and during the install I decided to clean my throttle body. My idle ended up going haywire and after a few IAVL procedures I was able to recover everything. I did start to notice something strange however.
Once my vehicle was fully warmed up I could accelerate to between 30-45mph and once I let off the gas my RPMs would drop, bounce below 1k then bounce back up to about 1.1-1.2k where they should be. I can feel the RPMs drop (slight deceleration then acceleration) when this happens. Its only really noticeable in this range. The whole bounce issue only starts to happen once the vehicle warms up (scangauge temp 188-195) - the behavior seems normal while the vehicle is cold
I've been to the dealer twice. They did a total system relearn which didn't solve the problem at all; they did not fix a thing on the second trip as well. They stated all looked fine, idle was spot on and the bounce was normal "sometimes". WTF does that mean!? Well, I could feel the incompetence oozing from their faces so decided to cut my losses and move on. I will also mention I brought the truck to the dealer almost completely stock except for the DT exhaust. I did a lot of troubleshooting myself before hand:
1. Removed 87 tune I was running with a Cortex programmer
Result: Problem still there
2. Removed Volant CAI and put stock intake back on
Result: Problem still there though not as pronounced
3. Cleaned TB again; this time I took it all the way off and cleaned the
screen as well
Result: Problem still there
The only thing I really couldn't remove was the DT exhaust, but I'm pretty sure the problem existed before that install (all were done around the same time frame - Volant install, TB cleaning, DT exhaust install).
The vehicle seems to run fine and the power seems ok. My big question is:
IS THIS NORMAL???
I know from searching a few others on the forum have the same thing going on:
Rocket
Tarfu
Brigglesworth
ahnyoungboi
Dakorlord
Maybe some others on here with an AT can test this out.
1. have an automatic transmission
2. drive vehicle until completely warmed up
3. accelerate to 35-40mph
4. let off gas
5. observe tachometer and report results here
Here is a video of what mine looks like:

Stock Intake Installed (less camera wobbling and no phone ringing in background

At this point the only thing I can think of is that while cleaning the TB I manually opened the butterfly and somehow screwed something up? Is it possibly I may have done something to the position sensor or the motor that moves the TB?
Still my #1 question: is this normal???
I plan on going to a dealership and testing a 2010 X; they have some S and SE models there. I appreciate any testers/information/help I can get on this because quite frankly, it's driving me crazy.
These are the other two threads I've been posting in but will put any updates I have in here.
