Dang Putin price hikes!!

Found a 2 on ebay for $234 shipped:

Any of the PN “ACC-RR0X” racks should work so long as the dimensions are:

5"H x 32"W x 52"

The RR01, RR07, etc. just have different mounting hardware based on the golf cart models.

Well because of my recent donation.. I came to acquire one of this roof racks so I redid my original simple roof rack to include this one.. I think it came out pretty good
will have video on that at one point

I am debating putting the Cross Bars back on..
While toying with the idea I placed them back in (both ends had to be fully removed to re-install but they do get back in with some wiggling) to see what they'd look like and I noticed that they had to be pushed back into place a bit as the tightening of the U-Bolts on the CDL Rack actually put the strain inward on the support rails versus outward.
I wonder if over time this could cause an issue with the mounting on the support rails.

Regardless. I think that replacing one or both of the crossbars could be very advantageous.

I just painted them black with Rust-Oleum and will fully install them when they dry. See photo below for the mockup.

I intend to drill some holes in them and use them for brackets/anchors for future tools/rotopacks etc.

My theory is that they will add to the overall stability of the roof platform, serve as a safety if one of the U-Bolts snaps (which did happen to my first U Bolt when I overtightened), and serve to provide additional mounting points.

I welcome any feedback or ideas. View attachment 145339

Did you notice any wind noise while driving at certain speeds?

Looking forward to the youtube video!! And subbed!

Really wish I would've taken advantage of this back when they were $200...
FWIW, I just did this install and picked one up for ~$275

Just read through this whole thread and was wondering what everyone was talking about when seeing the $200 pricetags. Crazy how simple things can change in a couple years. May as well get a branded or assembled one at these prices...

I also looked for retail alternatives and the biggest challenge is the width.

No doubt I will be going with @roXterra, probably the Slim. I haven’t told Santa Clause yet, so this stays on the forum.

The best gifts: from me, to me

@3RUNNER I meant to say it in your other thread.
The nutsert tool is $40 (probably more by now) on Amazon. I have one, I can bring it, maybe I can spare it for a week when I am back in... Mesa. Chandler.
Tool comes with some nut serts and some tips. M6 is what stock roof ones are.

I will be in Chandler at lower I-202 and Gilbert Rd at 4pm tomorrow. Probably. Waiting on confirmation. I will be on 19th Ave and Buckeye for an hour at most around noon.

You can see my Lowrider. Slim has a more civilized, concealed look but Lowrider if you want to carry 4 tires on top, etc. You get 7" more of spread on the top bar

FTC vs Amazon, for an algorithm that raised prices on items that it determined other sites would immediately raise prices also based on Amazon. AKA price fixing. The entire FTC complaint. Have to say, have been very pleased with the roXterra Lowrider. Quality stuff.

I have seen that with plane tickets. Different prices depending on where do you check them, and the previous browsing history.
Yeah but that’s called competition. Right? And the price fixing, as if there is coordination, I wonder how that will be proven. Even then, we’d have to arrest every gas station across the street from another. There is tacit coordination of pricing, after all.
