Damage multiplier if rear ended?

On your google drive image, right click and click open image in new tab.

Open that tab, copy the url, and paste it into the "insert image" icon before posting. It's simple.

I agree with spdu4ia - looks like tacky crap. It's not going to protect anything.

That said, it's your truck, do what you want.

Usually the concerns up front are because it's pretty much all plastic and a thin aluminum hood, with nothing to support behind the brush guard. This thing is maybe an inch away from a steel bumper connected directly to the frame and there's nothing to cantilever into the hatch - won't protect much, but it won't be that bad in a collision either.

Would it be a damage multipler?

Of course it would.
You would be damaging that thing plus whatever would be normally damaged.

IMO it offers nothing.

But, hey, it's your truck ... paint it pink and put Hello Kitty stickers on it for all I care. :D

Garbage. They do nothing, one more thing to break plus they look stupid. Also hinders your departure angle, a few hits and it's going to bent up and into your plastic corners... Don't waste your money.

Like others said though, it your truck, do as you wish. I'm not a fan of mods that aren't functional unless they're unique and well executed.

Since you asked, save your money for useful mods, like a real plate bumper. This one is by Maxterra, its way stronger and much more useful than a guard. Built in hitch,Protected trailer light plug, optional back-up lights, recovery points and no loss of clearance.

Even manly enough to hang a set of truck balls off of! ;)
