The power windows move slowly. Both of the front ones. I just replaced the motor on the driver's side last week, and it's still moving slow. If there anything else that could be causing this? I also have a new battery.

Thanks

U got window tint? Or in channel visors? Also take a q-tip and clean the channel with alcohol, don't do this much or it will dry rot the insulation/rubber in the channel. But u might have some gunk in there. Also cold weather has evidently caused my window seals to contract, in the summer mine are pretty zippy!!!!

Yeah I took mine to the dealer, they performed an adjustment on them to improve the speed. It does become noticably reduced in the winter cold vs. the warmer summer.

I know they lubed up the window - but I want to also say they did a motor adjustment...

Sorry I couldnt be more helpful, it was a couple years ago this was done.

Interesting to know... My windows absolutley suck as far as up and down go... hahaha...

I've just come to grips with it, but I will try this silicone lube.... I thought it was just a flaw and they sucked... we'll see what happens after the lube....

Roll your windows down, then spray window channels/guides as that's where the friction is coming from. Put a straw nossle on your can so you can more directly apply the lube. And any silicon spray will work. It should only cost a few bucks at your local hardware store. Let the lube sit for a few minutes then roll your windows up and down a few times.

My windows have always been slow, motor seems weak.
When the window gets wet, it will go down normal speed, and come up slower than normal.
Today was the perfect storm, rare rain in Arizona, had to roll down Window to talk with the guy doing the emissions test, now it won't go up.
Luckily it was not raining much during the drive back home, just a cold day (for Phoenix area).
Usually I park outside, but it is in the garage, expecting it to work when dries out.
Nothing wrong with the weather stripping, and lubricating the guides won't help because it can't get that far atm :)

Agree.
The motor was always slow, on a good day.
just found this about Gen 1 Xterrras

"Nissan has initiated this window regulator Warranty Etension to cover repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship in this system for a period of up to five (5) years from the vehicle in-service date or 60,000 miles whichever occurs first. Should your vehicle require a window regulator repair, Nissan will replace the window regulators in all four doors of Altima and Xterra models. For Frontier models, Nissan will replace the Window regulators in the front doors only. The rear doors of Crew Cab models are not affected.

Because extended high temperature conditions affect the window regulators, in the following warm weather areas of the United States window regulators will be replaced:

Alabama
Arkansas

Arizona
.....

heat kills them faster, and Az is probably the hottest.

I replaced all 4 regulators on the 94 Maxima I had because of a little plastic part that would fail.

Will replace the motor, and maybe regulator since I will have it apart.

At least you expect motors to fail, but I don't roll down the window often because there are only a few good weeks a year in Phx for that.
