Where is a good ground under the dash?

Doing the heated mirror mod. PITA, but all the wires are now inside the cabin and I didn't break anything yet.

I only see one readily accessible bolt under the dash that looks like it may be a ground. It's about a 12mm bolt near the top of the driver kick panel that is not securing anything on the inside. Is this a good one? Is there a better one?

I have a multi-meter, but I don't know what to do with it. :tard:

I probably used that same bolt but won't rip my stuff apart to confirm. Sorry. Use your dmm and set to resistance ohms and touch that bolt head to another ground or unpainted structure point. If you get a reading less than one ohm, you're good to use the bolt.

The bolt I used may have been lower near where your left foot hangs out. Was a 10 or 12 mm bolt head not doing any particular function.

When I ran my lights I drilled holes in the support bars up under the steering wheel. as far left as I could for the relay to bolt in place and a second for my grounding location. worked out good and is pretty easy to get to. then again I was working on that side so might be a little out of the way for some of you.
