This is why most people do 1" or more - you don't have to swap out wheel studs. That is only safe way to get 1/2" spacers to work. I would just return this and go for 1" tbh. It will be way easier.

Which wheel spacers are you trying to use? I wouldn’t use anything other than lug centric spacers. Those should give you new full length lugs to slap your wheel onto.

The 1/2" wheel spacers are too narrow to fit new studs into, so they just slide over your existing ones. It's almost like using a big washer between the hub and the wheel. They can still technically be hub centric, at least
