I currently have a 2013 Pro-4X with the 6-speed manual in Super Black with about 78k miles that I’ve owned since 2018. It’s in good shape with all relevant maintenance. There are no major modifications and all stock equipment is present and accounted for.

It’s been a great truck that I love driving and I’ve definitely told people in the past that they’re gonna have to bury me in it. But I also have another kid on the way and the X is already tight with the current group.

With the steep dealer discounts and 0% for 60 months financing, I’ve been seriously considering if I should upgrade to a Titan Pro-4X. I also know that I would miss the X and it’s super fun manual like crazy.

What do you all think? How much do you think my truck is worth and would you trade an X for a Titan?

I don't know your financial health... but regardless of whether it is great or not, I would not trade in your X at any point or take on car payments at this day and age! The way thing are going keep your money in your pocket. Especially this upcoming election. I believe things are going to take a turn for the worst but I will not go into details on that. Keep what you have and make it work. I have had two children born and raised in my previous Xterra's and now have two more boys being raised in my current Xterra. The wife and i made it work until we got the 2011 Pathfinder. BTW.. Nice looking Xterra!

Quite different vehicle compared to Titan.
Worth it around $18k looking at what dealers ask, so close to that with private party, less trading in.
Many expensive options out there, new Nissan, Toyota...
You will be paying a lot more for something similar.

I kept my Xterras from beginning to end, there is always a bunch to lose while gaining other features. Loss would outweigh the gain for me.

2025 4Runner is around the corner, I would wait until 2025 if I were you for reasons mentioned by @RedBrawnX too

If you must buy, end of year is coming up and that makes dealers more flexible if they know that you know that they need to sell, you know?, end of month at least, but end of year even more.

IF you decide to trade, I wouldn't trade directly. Most dealers are offering direct money to buy your cars outright. I tried to do that when i traded mine but i couldn't get the transfer documentation to happen in time. I had offers from $8,000 all the way to $14,000. Start shooting your xterra information to dealers that offer "buy your car even if you don't buy from us" Take the highest bid. I took the $14,000 offer, printed it and brought it to the dealer I traded in at. After a week i got them the $13,000.

Don't trade it. Sell it here. Take KBB price and add 2-3k to it in my opinion and see what you get for it. You'll get way more for private sale and that's a very desireable vehicle.

To some it would be...If I was looking for a future project/trail rig. I'd look over it very closely and ask lots of questions, but I'd consider salvage title. May be a smaller market...but if M6 it'd still sell I bet.

Salvage Title.

It's difficult to say.
Not every car which a dealership takes in trade will be sold on their lot.
Often enough, cars are sent to auction if they are not deemed worthy of taking up lot space. I've known dealerships which would not take a salvaged vehicle for numerous reasons including liability, lenders wouldn't finance snd not wanting to earn the reputation that they sell salvaged vehicles. In addition, many auto auctions will not accept a salvaged vehicle for the same reasons.
If a dealership chooses to accept a salvaged vehicle, it will likely be at a value much lower than wholesale as they plan to send it to be parted out.

I would only trade the X for a Titan if I were not doing tight trails and rocks for off roading. I love the 5.6 Endurance V8 but I also love the narrow width of the Xterra as well as its relatively short wheelbase and very good break over angle.

I think my Xterra with over 190k-miles is worth the same KBB, NADA, Edmunds price average (usually the same as TrueCar) price for sale to a dealer or as a trade now that it's been rolled as it was with no body damage.

So to summarize I think the X is worth way more to us owners than to anyone else; Xterra's are definitely more special and capable off road than a mod'd Titan IMHO.

Well, the Titan is certainly a powerful thing, but is there that much more space than in the Xterra? If you're thinking about a bigger car, maybe you should look at something like a minivan or SUV with a third line of seats? By the way, as far as auctions go, I would check out https://carfast.express/en/auction, they have all the US auctions in one place, including Copart or IAAI, sometimes you can find interesting options and at the same time evaluate your Xterra there.
