Output shaft. So the transfer case fits.

 

So you have a 2WD and wish to make it a 4WD? Wow. That's a big job! I remember seeing guys who owned first gen Xterras and wanted to make it 4WD. Are you sure you wouldn't be better off just trading it or selling it in order to get a 4WD?

yes a very big job. especially for me. i havent done anything close to this type of thing. biggest project ive had in terms of difficulty and knowledge would be installing an ims... so yeah.

thought about the cost benefit and this is way cheaper. the amount i have in the car isnt worth it to sell it. that and i want to be able to say i did this is benefit enough.

 

Still not sure why you didn't go with a short stubby ds connecting the case. But either way remove your exhaust it makes the job a lot easier

 

Too much fab work. This bolts right up. I tried to Maeve the cats out of the way as much as possible. I got it out. Getting it back in will be another story.
