DiffLock Code C1187

I recently had my Diff Lock and VDC light flicker and then remain solid. After 10-15 minutes of driving, the Diff Lock light goes out and then the ABS+VDC+Slip lights all remain on. The first time it happened, I had the cruise set at 70mph and everything just lit up.

I did a search on the boards and most information is in the one large "Light" post, but there still seems to be no conclusive answer as to what is the cause.

Today I drove into the Nissan Dealer to show them the lights while they are on so they cannot tell me "we cannot re-create the problem". They could not look at the X today, but one of the Tech's came out to pull the codes.

By the time they read the codes, it was the ABS+VDC+SLIP light configuration. However, the codes that came up were;

C1109 Battery Voltage Abnormal
C1187 DIFLOCK CONT

I did a search on here for either code but nothing came up. Does anyone have any experience with either of these?

It seems to me the DIFFLOCK light starts flickering like there is something weird being sensed. AFter a few minutes of this, the X just shuts down the entire ABS system, therefore showing ABS+VDC+SLIP. Once it goes into that, it stays there until I shut it off. WHen I start it up, the DIFFLOCK and VDC flicker for a minute and then back to the ABS+VDC+SLIP.

I have an appointment in a week.

dont know how reliable this is as they are general codes:

C1109 Speed Control Actuator Assembly Cable Release Failure

C1187 Brake Fluid Level Sensor Input Open Circuit

from here
JNMyer - not sure about the description of the codes. The ones I listed were straight out of the Nissan Tech's code reader. He made a print out (from code reader) for me so when I come back, they already have the codes in case the lights are not on. The descriptions I listed are exactly what is on the print out, word for word.

The dirt on the contacts may be something. I spent the weekend on the trails, nothing major and no hard bangs, but plenty of mud. I did not even turn on my locker all weekend. Maybe I should go spray the undercarrige to see if that fixes it.
