I did some searching around on this forum and the frontier form and IMS seems like a highly recommended product for shifting the power band to the lower rpm’s. Claiming 10hp/ftlbs in the 3krpm range. Which would be great for towing.
However most of these posts are pretty old, 2011 and earlier. Curious if the consensus is still the same; that the IMS is a great value product and works.
the only issue I’ve seen with the z1 version is that it’s bigger and the bracket that holds the intake near the throttle bottle doesn’t line up at all. Likely requiring a bracket to support the intake. Seems minor enough and easy to make.
