Xterra vs Titan, (or another Fullsize Truck)

So I am trying to decide if I need to give up on the Xterra and move to a Nissan Titan or another full size truck to meet my needs. This is not my Daily driver and I am running into more occasions where a truck bed would help out more then the off-road capability of the Xterra. I've also started renting travel trailers (camper) and the VQ40DE really has to work hard when towing a camper around 3200-3500lbs before cargo (always empty water and waste tanks). Even with trying to tweak my exhaust it still drones with O/D off and towing on the highway.

When I bought this my family with 3 other girls were not interested in camping so it was never a consideration and I had a 5x10 utility trailer for all my hauling needs. Now I am at the point where we try to squeeze bikes and everything else into a trailer and then all of us load up into the Xterra. A truck bed would give me the option to put bikes and anything else odd shaped into it much easier.

Anyone else make the switch to a full size truck for their towing and cargo needs?

Is it worth changing my exhaust a 3rd time to work on the drone?
Current setup: New secondary cats, AFE caback, with Vibrant resonator welded in where old tail pipe resonator used to be.

I would still be looking at used since Xterra is paid off and would like to keep any loan payments smaller.
im not quite where you are but similar. the X is getting a bit long in the tooth, and I would like some more power for climbing mountain grades (V8 please!!).

I want a vehicle I can sleep in, so i need either a large suv or a truck with a 6tf+ bed.

there arent really many suv's that fit my needs.

but, fullsize trucks with lower miles are almost as much as new trucks.. which i really dont want to do, I dont want to get into an older truck that is going to need just as much maint as the Xterra.. so im just waiting until hopefully used car(truck) prices come down to earth, the x isnt worth much so im looking at having to get a loan and want to keep is as small as possible but still get a truck that is newer enough to not have to immediately wory about repairs.

I dont tow anything though so for me its more of a want or nice to have vs a need per se....

as far as the exhaust, you can try changing it up again but i'd bet with anything but stock it will still be annoying while towing and youll still want more power..

so, long story short, i dont really have an answer for you!
