** The Dumb Question Thread **

Driving out of a parking lot onto the road today, it felt like my tires hit the top of the wheel well. They are 285/75r16. The wheel well has the melt mod in back. The strut has a 1/2" spacer. It's kind of embarrassing. Is there a fix out there that doesn't require a larger lift?
The exact thing happened to me. I upgraded to 285s with a 2" body lift. There's still 'rub' on hard left/right turns. I've found that it's not actually the fender, it's the tire rubbing on the actual body of the truck. Since they're bigger, obviously they need more space when they turn. And the wheel-well doesn't have it. So, they rub. I can clearly see the rub on frame.

I've not found a way around it, other than possibly wheel spacers? But hey, I'm a new guy who doesn't really know anything. I'm sure others will have a strong opinion.
