my tires on my 07 s 4x4 were bought new back in oct 2017 - about 10k miles ago. The tpms sensors were all replaced in jan 2015.
the tires look good, no cracks etc, and it rides smooth- up to at least 80mph though she never goes on roads like that these days- she's a garage queen and mountain parkway driver at times.
i recently had the tpms come on flashing then solid and it stayed on. So it looks like one of the sensors battery is going or gone.
the tires are more than 6 years old but look great.
can i get away with just replacing the tpms sensor or sensors and keeping my tires longer? i heard that once they get to 6 years old, you should replace them- tires that is.
I am also toying with the idea of just getting 4 new sensors and having the mechanic replace all 4 at once- i am sure if one is gone bad, the others will soon follow?
