hi,
so i read through a great deal of threads on replacing the catalytic converters. It seems most are hit with the replacement due to service engine light code or actual cracked cat, but the issue i have is that now the Xterra has gone down significantly in gas mileage and im being told by the seasoned service tech that its due to bad cats??
im not throwing any codes, but have for some time now getting significantly lower gas mileage.
X has 146k miles and runs strong as hell and still looks sharp, love the thing! want to keep it running great.
I have recently changed the spark plugs..filter, etc all that is good.
Any insight on the issue?
Any help is appreciated, Thanks,
-J
