*Before reading, please understand that my purpose for this mod is for my own safety when I commute in heavy traffic. I deal with the D.C traffic, one of the worst in the nation. I've encountered many drivers who are either driving too aggressively or not paying attention b/c majority of the time they're on their phones. It has been difficult and frustrating to be a reactive/defenseful driver with the sluggish throttle response and low-end torque. I have no intentions of turning my truck into some sort of race car, but I use it as my DD almost 95% of the time and so I feel that this mod is a necessity.
I have a bonestock 2015 Pro-4x M/T that I plan to keep for all it's life. I want to start permanent modifications to increase low-end torque and throttle response to the best it can be without decreasing too much high-end power and without risking the life of the car.
- This is strictly to upgrade performance, I do not care about sound/coolness.
- I do not want to regear.
- I do not want a super/turbo charger.
So far, I know I need the following Feel free to point out anything thats inaccurate:
1. Intake Manifold Spacer (by XTP, is there anything better on the market?)
2. Long Tube Headers - exhaust manifold (product suggestions?)
3. CAI (older '05-'08 Volant model?)
4. Exhaust (need help with this!)
5. Tuner (UpRev?)
6. Light-weight Crank Pulley?
7. Upgraded Plenum or Intake Manifold on the market?
Long Tube Headers - exhaust manifold
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that Long Tube Headers are better than Short Tube Headers for better low-end torque/throttle response. I also understand that I will be removing the factory cats, but I need to pass emissions/inspections so I will probably add a cat somewhere on the exhaust pipes. Any product suggestions for Long Tube Headers would be appreciated. If this is inaccurate and I need Short Tube Headers, please chime in with product suggestions as well.

Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but so far I've only read that the older model of Volant ('05-'08) is the way to go since its completely sealed. Also, should not use the PowerCore filter due to error codes....I really want to use it though, is this an issue with the 2015 model too? (just being hopeful)
If the issue still exists with 2015 models, what is the best filter to replace it with?
Exhaust
I've read that you only need to replace the Y-Pipe with a 2-in 1-out, but is this the best I can do to increase low-end torque/throttle response without decreasing too much high-end power? If true, product suggestions?
I've also read that going with a complete custom exhaust from an exhaust shop is the way to go since its cheaper and you get exactly what you want. Factoring in the Headers, any suggestions for this method? I know I'll need the following for a custom exhaust, but not sure on the quantity of each component, where each component should be welded, and which brands I need to look for:
1. Hi-flow CATS (product suggestions, quantity, and location on exhaust pipe?)
2. Resonator (product suggestions for something with NO droning? Quantity? -I want it quiet if possible)
3. Muffler (product suggestions?)
4. Piping (need help with this!)
a. I have no idea where to start with this. Should I get this created from scratch at a shop? I understand that I should not exceed a diameter of 2.5", not sure what the diameter of the factory pipe is, but should I replace it? If so, with what? (without decreasing too much high-end power) (please include product suggestions)
b. Or should I just get a cat-back exhaust that meets my needs and is already on the market and add components (hi-flow cats, resonators)to it? If so, product suggestions?
*Basically, if anyone has the blueprints for their custom exhaust that meets my needs, please share! (increased low-end torque without decreasing too much high-end power, increased throttle response, and quiet if possible)*

I definitely plan on getting my X tuned after all of the above are installed. I understand that its highly recommended, basically required, to get it tuned with UpRev, either by ETunes with a laptop via email or at a licensed shop on a Dyno. (any other suggested methods for the best results?)
I also want to remove the existing 40mph throttle restriction. If removed, any downsides?
Light-weight Crank Pulley
I've read mixed reviews about this mod. Several people say the power increase is very little and that it can be harmful to your engine, so its not worth it. Is this info accurate?
If its fine to have this mod, do I need to pair it with something else? like upgraded camshafts? Product suggestions?
Upgraded Plenum or Intake Manifold on the market?
I read somewhere that somebody installed a 350z Intake Manifold, but had to create their own conversion plate for it. I don't think that member is producing them for purchase so I won't consider that route.
I have not been able to find any upgraded Plenum or Intake Manifold on the market for the X. Please share if you know of any!
