I will preface in saying I know an aftermarket head unit is better in almost every way in terms of ease of installation and sound quality. But I'm stubborn and want everything "OEM" so that is what I will do. I've been trying to get a Sentra radio working on my 2010 OR, and it just might not work (not easily anyway). The Sentra uses a Bose system and while I thought this wouldn't be too big of a deal, I was horribly wrong. The head unit seems to be over driving the amp or something, but whatever the issue, I don't have all the time in the world to troubleshoot an incompatible radio.

Since I'm in school, I can't justify what's being charged for these things on eBay. I got the Sentra unit for $50 bucks at the junkyard, so I'm not really looking on spending significantly more than that.

So I beg of you, I want your radio so I can finish this awful harness and put the new dash on 😭

Bosch?? Or do you mean Bose?? I'm going by your thread title. The PRO-4X in later years used the Rockford Fosgate sound system with the factory head unit.

Unless u swapped to a 2013-2015 center bezel, it physically wont fit. Take a look online at the 09-12 xterra center radio trim panel vs the 13-15. You'll see it was 1 pc pre 13 vs 2pc post 13.
The top tray and the radio opening itself are different sizes.
Putting aside the physical difference, if you didnt have a rockford system to begin with I'm not sure it can be done without really serious work and by that I mean swapping the entire Rockford everything.
I have a 12 p4x, so Rockford, and I found a full 2015 center trim bezel with radio on ebay last week alone with the 2015 steering wheel controls. I'm going to try and make it all work, but already having the Rockford system I'm hoping it isnt too far of a leap.

This is what u need from a 13-15 model:

Its a pic of the one theyre sending me. If I decide its not worth the trouble I'd be happy to sell it over to u, but only all as one piece. It wouldn't work otherwise.

Jokes on you, I am two steps ahead (ignore the missing vent, was doing some experimentation):

I already have the RF system in my 2010 OR, so theoretically if I wire everything correctly (I technically already have, the Bose radio is just unhappy) the system SHOULD work as normal. I haven't been able to find a reasonably priced set of the newer digital steering wheel controls, so I bought an Axxes ASWC to potentially get the older analog controls to function along with a Bluetooth bypass jumper for the unit under the seat. I planned on 3D printing a cover for the HVAC controls since it's slightly different due to the plate on the older dash. The remaining challenge in all honesty is figuring out how to get a noise cancelling microphone I bought to work with one of these head units. I found a wiring write up for a Juke that uses a similar setup than I plan on re-creating. Let's just say I've done a little too much research on this project...

Either way, keep me posted! I would be interested in taking those items off your hands if you don't end up committing to it.

The 2015 xterra controls are what match the radio. Im not continuing with the project, although I know what needs to happen with each plug and its corresponding harness.
I have all the parts numbers from metra.
The problem for me is my X has a different trim color on the fascia. It looks weird. Nissan had said the part # matched but I guess the trim code T is super rare with the green 12 p4x. Anyways, i can return this to ebay seller, but if u want it instead, all yours. I'm not going to bother trying to paint it. Ill go aftermarket.

And the Steering wheel controls you want are from a 2015 model. Those are the ones that match the radio perfectly. I have those controls also I'll be selling.
I'm going to go with the illuminated pathfinder ones that are exactly like my current ones for the continuity.

That is rather interesting with the slight differences in the trim color. I'm hesitant to ask how much you'd want for the radio/dash combo given that already have the dash piece 😅. But let me know how much you'd want for the dash combo and steering controls respectively.
