I removed my mud flaps but I'm wondering wouldn't that just create more scratches and chips from the rocks and stuffs flying into the body of the X?
in my opinion, one of the great things about the X is knowing its a rugged truck which means I dont have to worry so much about that. after owning (and babying) a heavily modded maxima for 8 years and worrying about any little scratch, its so liberating to not worry. in 3 years, ive probably washed it 4 times. now if I see a scratch I say, "o well, its more rugged now".

I permanently removed the rears but leave the fronts and the ones in front of the rear wheels on unless I am wheeling to keep Knicks and scratches to a minimum. I think it comes down to personal preference on the street but definitely remove before wheeling because those front ones while take sheet metal with them if they get torn off.

You will definitely want to ditch the step bars before wheeling, they can cause at least as much damage and you get hung up on them a lot as I found out last summer at the badlands.
Sweet X. Endless potential.

Thanks guys... I'm not doing any offroading yet so I think I will put the flaps back on and I will definitely remove the mud flaps and the nerf bars if I take it off roading.

coatimundi01: I would of went with the sliders if I knew about it before I bought the nerf bars. The nerf bars was the first thing I want to buy because my gf having a hard time climbing into it since she's a tiny girl. You can actually see her listening to her ipod in the passenger seat in the first 2 photos.

Looking at my X's photos, it look so low to the ground compare to most of the X's on here. I really have to raise it :)

^^^ Don't be so sure...my X is just approaching its two year birthday and the "Shiny Nickel Syndrome", coupled with "Parking Lot Paranoia" and "All Children are to be Feared Mania" has not yet worn off.

Therefore, mud flaps still on, step rails intact, leather seating wiped down weekly, etc.

Yes, I know...this makes me "different" from most others on this sight. But my Mom says it's OK...honest.

Yea...right...

Thanks!! I can see why she loves it. It is such a reliable, fast, and nice looking car.

maybe you're right, and I also noticed you and I have same color X so I bet you visit the car wash often as well?
The dust and mud is so noticeable on dark color cars and just happen my summer ride also black. I wash my car weekly in summer and sometime twice a week. Haha

I'm not Japanese, however I am Asian :)
I just love Japanese food which is why one day I chose WASABI as part of my nickname... kinda dumb but I did this when I was 14 yr old and the name stuck with me.

I am very into Japanese performance cars as they are nice and fast. Not too much of a muscle sport car kinda guy.
The Soarer is known as the Lexus SC300/SC400 in North America, however the NA model are not turbo charged. Their SC300 only producing I think 220hp, and their V8 SC400 model is 280hp but extremely heavy. The Soarer is rated as a luxury sport car, and even though it's 20 years old but it still is a great car even comparing to some modern car.

the infiniti g35/37 is a nissan skyline in japan
You are absolutely correct.

Not to derail, but I'm pretty sure the g35 isn't any form of a skyline, they're the same as the 350z which is a totally different animal....there's an R35 but that's the new Nissan GTR...
Actually the 350Z and 370Z are totally different than skyline... they are actually known as Fairlady in Japan.

Here is a little to read about the Toyota Soarer.
Basically it's the SC model of Lexus in North America but a lot better :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Soarer

Soarer is 2.5L twin turbo, stock at 276hp
This model is equipped with 1JZ engine same as the earlier model of Supra, the later model of Supra. When they converted from twin turbos into 1 big single turbo, they are known as 1.5JZ. The late model of Supra are equipped with 2JZ engine which is 3.0L turbo stock is 300hp.

SC300 is 3.0L N/A, stock at 221hp
This model is equipped with 2JZ engine however they are natural aspirated.

SC400 is V8 4.0L N/A, stock at 256hp.
UZZ engine.

These Japanese cars are usually under-rated their power, because Japan have a regulation back the day that manufacturer can not produce vehicle more than 285hp so when these cars are released they sometime have 300+hp however only listed at 285hp. This is the reason why you see a lot of older Japanese car are all rated at the same 285hp, including the famous Nissan 300zx (fairlady) or the Nissan Skyline... etc.

Some people actually add 1 big turbo to the SC400... You can find a lot of crazy Soarer modded car on youtube.

Here is one of a stock Soarer.
Here is a modded Soarer with a HUGE single turbo.

Here are some more pictures of my past cars... Yes they are all Right Hand Drive. As I said... I love JDM cars.

This was my 300ZX twin turbo that I had in 2009.

And this was my Toyota MR2 I drove 2007-2009, However it's not turbo charged.

I get bore quickly so I keep selling and buying new one.
The reason why I sold the MR2 even though it's a really fun car to drive because it's an N/A so it's not as powerful.
I later bought the 300ZX even though it was powerful 300hp and great condition... I loved it but I grew bore of it because it was an Automatic.
I then realize I need a turbo charged car, PLUS manual tranny for the joy of driving it so I bought the Toyota Soarer. :rockin:

And finally, this was my 2005 Nissan X-trail which I traded it in for my 2011 Pro-4X I have now.

Thanks for the info about the vehicles and yourself.I think your nickname is cool.I like japanese (of course),and asian food too, actually all types of cuisine haha.

Ahh,now I remember the Lexus SC..yes.NOt many of them around anymore!
And the 350Z being called the Fairlady, almost forgot that.
I like the 300Z!My friend had the 280 twin turbo and that would slam you into the seat.

Interesting about the old Japanese HP laws, didn't know that..

Looks like a nice trip to the lake - how high was that?

I kinda get bored of my cars too but end up getting them modified and then keeping them for years
But I see new or different vehicles and want them too!
I had an old Celica years ago that was manual trans but know I am lazy and only have automatics haha.

Here's what I have:
2010 Off-road Xterra - mods to come soon.
2008 BMW 335xi - no mods except wheels/tires.
2004 Infiniti G35 - Stillen supercharger,Injen CAI&exhaust,AP racing brake kit,etc.
1966 Mercury Parklane - Hope to get it more road-worthy soon.Inherited from my dad who recently passed away.

I'm not sure what you mean by how high? As in altitude from sea level?

That's a nice collection of car you have there. That G35 sound like something that I would be really into.
Do you have a picture of that posted somewhere?
What's the spec?

For some reason I like the 350Z more than G35 however I still like the G35 it's a sick ride. Maybe because it's a Z. :)

Yeah I think he's asking altitude. A frozen lake is hard for me to imagine in my mind seeing how it's supposed to get like 96 degrees here on Wednesday...:violent3: Cool pics though!

Side note, ever since your hid video clip, I can help but read all your posts in your accent!
