Just secured a complete suspension from a fellow member, rebuilt new radflos, SPC UCA, OME Dakar rears, and Bilstein 5125's. Wont be picking them up until May 8th when we will both be in the FL area.

Also talked to a local fabricator today that agreed to building a full replacement flat safari style rack for the top that will mount a lightbar underneath the front of the rack for one hell of a price. That wont come till August/September though.

Still working on the pics, its been raining something like 50 out of the last 70 days here, rediculous. Below is an outline for the upcoming planned mods.

New tires for the stock 17" SE wheels, havent decided on 33's or 35's yet.

Remove the top rack until I can get a custom one built, or a GOBI ordered. I ahve some pretty decent peeling along the top windshield on the factory paint so I want to bedline the whole top roof. Which brings me to my next headbanger...

I love my front grey shrock bumper, I feel like it's different, it goes with the blue really well. Satisfied with it. However. It is the most P.I.T.A thing to color match, even remotely. The plastics are fading, badly. I bought a cheap rear corner replacement after an accident, that thing is already more chalky than the OEM part on the other side. I am OCD about things matching especially when it comes to color, its just part of my background. Having 5 different grey colors is really starting to get to me. So it's that time to re-color everything that isnt blue.

I was going to sand down everything and paint it with the rustoleum graphite wheels paint. Front, rear bumper, wheels, and plastics. Worst case if anything gets dinged up i can always sand a re-finish. At the end of the day it seems like a lot of work for a rattlecan that is less durable than the powdercoat. I've just about abandoned this idea. But I can match all of the greys together.

I was then going to drop everything off at a powder coater, and have then use shrocks pc color code. At this time I was going to get the rear corners from PP or inSain, and just remove the side plastic molding. Now that we are in limbo with fitament for the rear corners and PP not commiting to further new orders on the rear corners, this idea is on hold.

This brings me to my last idea. Bedline everything. I'll need to go purchase a compressor so I can spray it on. But the plastics, bumpers, roof, rack, everything could match. And its durable. I have gotten a few samples of premade Grey's from a few providers that are slightly lighter than the shrock grey. I want to stick with premixed for the same matching reason I am exploring the issue in the first place.

I am almost certain I am going the bedliner route. I can use the compressor I need to buy anyway for other future projects, get better quality that the rattlecan bedliner.

So......now I need some opinions. I've recently though through all of this, I've begun to think they grey just isnt worth it. Black is easy. Theres a million black bedliners out there. I completely understand there not all blacks are the the same. But black bedliner could be blended without to much effort in repair.

Should I abandon the grey idea and go with Black and Blue? I feel like it will easily look more agressive. But I also feel like it will look like every other rig out there that going with black wheels and black bumpers. But It would be so much easier to maintain if something were to happen.

At least you'll be in blue. At least around here, I'm the only blue one I've seen. There are a few on the forums. But locally everyone has a black or night armor.

alright so not picking up the m226 this weekend, seller is going to ship it next friday instead. But! Good news is, the dealership didnt cut the ABS lines! So I am pretty much recovering the shipping cost in ABS lines alone! Woo!

Finally the owner of an m226. Need your help with something. I attached two pics of the hubs. These clips were pulled out and contact the wheel studs on each side. I'm assuming I can push them back in and all will be good. Is there a reason this would be done?

Anyone able to clear up that clip question on the E-Brake? I am assuming I can just push those back in. I assume there's a reason it was done, I want to make sure I check everything I need to before pushing thsoe back in.

Found the how to on the shoe brake change, see them pushed in on one of the pics. Weird they pulled those out.

Cant wait to get that cover off this weekend and inspect those gears. Really hoping for the best on that.

Welp, I must be a magnet for idiot drivers. Had someone today trying to avoid 2 miles of traffic and merge over again at the last second. She clipped the front edge of the Shrock the sticks out past the fender on the passenger side. Luckily it was a slow rolling drag so its just a scrape, not bent up or anything.

Trying to figure out if its even worth turning in. I dont even know if I could get it resprayed or not, have to talk to my agent later.
