I got an idea sitting around on the couch. Since the 05 and 06 auto s and se have the same axles, I was wondering if they had the same gears. So everyone post up what year you have o5 or o6 and what model you have s or se. I was hoping maybe one model or year had a bigger gear set. Then that would atleast help out some of us with are bigger tires if by chance they do. Just a wild idea lets see what happens.

So according to this my 05 s has 2.937 gear and the se has 3.133. So if i want to throw bigger tires on my x i should get se gearing.

new tire height/stock tire height x stock gearing = new gearing

33/30.85 x 2.937= 3.17 so with 33's i would be damn close to my stock power band. So putting 35's on with these gears would be like running 33's on my stock gears.

The best question is, can the c 200 gear go into the new c200 axles
I was kinda wondering about this... with the locker too. ARB has a locker for the C200 (29 spline and 31 spline) but say it only goes up to 2004... I have a feeling this is just because they haven't updated their site in forever. I can't see Nissan changing the axle and calling it the same thing.

But, then again, I can't imagine with all the knowledge on here that someone would have let this slip by unless the only people that want lockers are those with the D44.

On the driver's side front door jam there's that little sticker that contains all your info about your rig.
