I follow the YouTube channel softroadingthewest, who posted this video. he actually overlands a frontier, also with a custom camper build, so check him out.

but man this xterra is cool!

they posted a vid a few weeks ago with the fronty and this xterra dooing alittle wheeling, nice to see them represented among all the jeeps and toyo's

That’s pretty slick! I wish I could dedicate a rig to do something like that. But alas it would be wasted on me.

this might be a fun project one day for someone, hopefully me. I could see getting an Xterra for dirt cheap, blown motor/trans but good body/ frame and basically stripping it down, also get a dononr titan and swap over alot of the drivertain and suspension.. chop the top, rebuild the interior., turn it into an offroad camping beast!

ahh that would be so much fun! and it wouldnt cost a crazy amount of money, $20k?

Also that paint job! My paint is starting to get noticeably worse, flaking off around the windows.. so im really thinking about doing the whole thing with some sort of bedliner product.

Im going to see if i can figure out what this guy used. I kinda want to do either OD green or FDE.
