In the cargo area, on the driver's side, you can attach the small side-storage cargo net. In some Xterra literature they show this spot holding a jug of Windshield Washer Fluid.

I discovered today that it also is a good place to hold three 750ml bottles of wine

Just FYI from a wine dork, wine's three worst enemies are heat, light, and vibration. if you're transporting boone's farm or something, have at it, if not then I'd sit it in the passenger seat or something more cushiony.

I used to store my fire extinguisher in there, but it fell out on occasion...

I now have a small HF tool bag with random assortment of combination wrenches, screw drivers and such in the deepest storage pocket.. Armor-all glass, and interior cleaner in the closest storage pocket.. then on the passenger side I have a few bungees/ratchet straps, and gloves.

Left Side, a can of crab cleaner for the seadoo's fuel filter, spare trash bags for when you follow someone who forgot to tread lightly, and a mini broom and dust pan to keep the area clean. The right side hold a e-tool, Recovery strap and cargo net when not in use.
