I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this - and its why I periodically find myself looking for a truck, before realizing that making the Xterra do it is way cheaper than the massive debt it would take to get a new truck these days.

So how about:
A complete demo'd bathroom? (except the tub, I had to make a second trip. Still cheaper than buying a truck)
Automotive tail & brake light Car Vehicle Automotive lighting Automotive tire

Or a pine tree that had grown too big for it's space - this was a "one tripper"

I find myself in this situation 3-4 times per year - but still no tears in the headliner!

I don't have a pic, but my wife once loaded the back of our X with bricks. I can't remember how many, certainly too many. Springs were beyond flat. Clutch wasn't happy but it did it just fine otherwise.

Prior to my Xterra, I had owned trucks since 1988.
There are times in which I miss the convenience of a truck bed, but I'm not willing to pay the inflated price which the market is asking for a pickup.

For those times which I absolutely need a truck bed I will hook up a 5x8 trailer.

Yep. Hard to beat the $18.95 U-Haul 5x8 for several days a year rather than buying a pickup!

Which ceiling net is that?
Someone here recommended it. $15.99 on Amazon. I replaced the plastic clips though and I wouldn’t trust it with anything heavy. I keep a travel fishing pole and sometime jackets up there. Search:

I'll admit, I put all sorts of stuff in the back of my S-10 Blazer, but I finally bought a 5x8 utility trailer, and I find it some much more convenient. It also keeps the inside of the X clean and it holds about 3,000 lbs, or a 4x8 sheet of plywood, and that is hard to get into any SUV. However, not everyone has the space to store a trailer.
