With winter approaching here in the Northeast I am in search for a good recovery Strap. Does brand play a role in picking a good strap and what rating is good for our X's?

Any strap will be fine for ya.. I bought a cheapy Keeper brand one from Home Depot for like $30 and I've pulled many people out using it with no problems..

Oh and make sure it's at the least 3" wide by 30' long with no hooks..

I picked up a cheap little 2" x 20' 3 1/2 ton strap a week ago, but after wheeling with some friends this saturday, I realized the importance of length and strength (poor jeep was stuck at the bottom of a hill and a long, high grade strap would've helped). I swapped it for a 3" x 30' 7 ton yesterday. I think it was about $55 total.
