hi. i need to buy a jump-starter, maybe with a compressor in it. anyone of you got one for xterra? if yes, which brand? have u used on xterra? any issues?
what do u think about non-brand names? i found one at GIJoes out here in Oregon, but it has no name on it. $45 for jumpstarter with air compressor. but it had no amp mentioned. simply - good for cars, boats, etc. thanks.

I have a Vector VECO12B. ( http://www.amazon.com/ Vector-Charge-Battery-Charger-Starter/dp/B000AMQEO4 ) Not sure if they are made anymore (website gone) but they are still available at some Pep Boys. It is a battery charger as well as a portable jump starter (450 amps). Can charge at 2/4/6 amps, has a 12V DC outlet, built in work light, and can even recharge via DC outlet (slow and not recommended for routine charging). I have not used it for jumping, but I've recharged batteries with it. Has a neat feature of auto on/off so if you connect it backwards, it won't turn on and will light up to tell you so. Also, no sparking when you connect (properly) since it checks for proper polarity before switching itself on. Got mine for under $100. It doesn't have an air compressor built it, but most of the all in one gadgets don't have a high current compressor. Look at Pep Boys while you are getting your jump starter for a MasterFlow Tsunami. Many of us on this forum have them. Cheap yet perform well. See USMC's write up: http://thenewx.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=58&highlight=onboard+air )
