Just wondering, but why didn't they clean the site up. I wouldn't think they'd just leave it there.
Probably too difficult/expensive to clean it up by the time they figured out where it was. Here in the mojave there are so many old crash sites somebody wrote a book about where they all are. Some require mountaineering and climbing gear, and some can be reached with a stock x.

That's really amazing! I'll have to add that my list of places to visit next time I head out that way. I really want to visit aircraft graveyards.

There's also a crash site in the southern part of the state that I haven't been to, down near Alamosa. Let us know the next time your heading out here and we'll set up a few trails to run.
