Ha! It wasn't so much being there late. I left my wife with the baby and two other kids to run around to soccer, horseback riding, etc when I left for a week on business then missed the following weekend of games and whatnot. I have to pick and choose and this week I want to watch my boy's last game if the season. I don't want to make my wife out as bad.
She actually wouldn't mind. I need to be a good dad. FWIW- My son would rather go wheeling than play his game.
