Looking at some ProComp off-road lights to throw on the roof but I'm a little confused. Coming across "fluted vs. spot" on these ProComps, what's the difference?

What are you guys running that you like as far as install ease, performance, look, etc?

fluted glass gives off a wider beam pattern. spots are very directional for longer distances. a lot of the guys i know that are running 4 lights on the roof have done a 2&2 approach...

2 spots in the middle
2 fluted/fog pattern on the outsides

each set is on its own switch. this solves the problem of distance vs width.

it is also the basic setup i'm planning when i do my roof lights over winter break.
