^ Here's a video of it in the daytime and at night. It appears to possibly be leaking oil from this elbow thing...

I was down about a half quart after driving for an hour... Just started happening, been driving on some pretty bumpy off-roady roads lately...

I originally thought the valve gasket but now I'm not sure, the oil is accumulating under the passenger area.

Any insights would be appreciated!

The arrow is pointing at the heater core tee.
You might as well do the other connection too. Or you can remove the fitting and put the heater hose directly on the heater core pipe.

As for the smoke, the liquid is dripping down onto your cat.
Do you see oil or coolant signs? How are your fluid levels?

Wow thanks! That is definitely it, the hoses seem pretty worn and I was not keeping an eye on my coolant levels, the reservoir is empty.

It does leak some oil but now that I checked with the engine cold it is not a significant amount like I thought before.

I'll replace the heater hose and inlet!

Unfortunately, I don't think my Xterra has much life left in her since the timing chain is rubbing in the housing when I slow down/stop in drive.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

HA! I'm at 205K miles and I'll check back in when I'm at 250K. Seems like the timing chain has been rubbing internally for around 45K miles and hasn't snapped yet.
FYI: Added you to the above Mileage List with info available...
