I would have said a bulge, but it being symmetrical I'd say you were tagged by some kind of road debris.

It doesnt look like the sidewall was too damaged, but I'd still have a tire shop take a quick look at it. It looks like you are coming due for a new tire anyway.

Just noticed this. Obviously there's a little tear in the surface there - is this a popped bulge?
I bet you slid off a rock or something last time we were out. I have something similar in one of my tires.

I was told as long as no belts are showing and it is not losing air, I should be ok.....

If you need an excuse to buy new tires.....

Hoping to hold out another month before dropping coin on Duratracs :thumbup:
Just keep an eye on it, sidewalls don't typically leak, they blow out.

rock cut the little flag off the tire, now its dangling by a thread, driving around spins the thing around in a circle, which wore off the dirt on that part of the tire. pull the little nub off and move on.
that's what i was thinking, but couldn't find the words to express it.
