I pretty much just put my smelly socks and clothes after hiking in the wetbox. I think I've also put a few empty beer cans up there too....

I am trying to brainstorm what else to use it for, not sure what I can put up there semi-long term since its exposed to the elements (I live in the NE).

What stupid or useful things do you use your wetbox for?

I cut a 4"x12" piece of tin for each side. That keeps a lot of water from entering the side of the box, think car wash.
I stow recovery gear up there as well as hoses for airing up/down. I changed the handle to a locking handle so nothing can wander off on its own. ;)

For the most part, my wet box is just for looks.
I rarely ever use it for anything.

There have been threads here before about installing a locking latch on that top box but when I’ve looked up the needed part (Southco 92-41-511) it’s pretty expensive - way more than it used to be apparently. I think having that box lock would make it way more useful.

Most of the time I either have a cargo rack or a topper up there, either of which block access so it rarely gets used. I've considered designing in a trap door when I get around to building a custom rack so I could use it as a security box kinda thing. Haven't thought it all the way through but I'd like to keep it accessible and functional somehow. Meh, someday

Not really. I have that locking latch from Southco on mine and rarely keep it locked. Never had anything stolen. Most people don't even know there's a box up there.
This. I live in an area where unlocked vehicles are rummaged though regularly and no one has touched mine in 3 years. I wouldn’t store diamonds or gold up there but a tow strap/recovery gear/camping equipment etc would be fine. These items aren’t exactly sought out by thieves either.
