I had a big trail ride last Sat where I knew I would be hitting some big rocks. So I decided to put together some sliders with some c-channel I had arround the shop.

They are mounted to the frame with two 12mm bolts drilled through the frame in the front and using the 10mm pretapped holes in the rear. The slider and the mounts are made from 4" C-channel and the outriggers are made of 3" C-channel.

I will have some DOM bent up at some point to add a little more door protection and will most likely extend them front and back by another 2" or so to get more protection on the little flared out section by the tires. once the design is finalized I'll seal them off with some 10 gauge and tap them to hold air. should hold at least a gal per side.

No assemblely pics but they worked great and I have the action shots. Check em out:

Can't see the slider but you can see the trail they got me through.

Get a close up if you can. But from what I can see they look pretty good. Nice DIY!

Which direction is the "c" facing.
Now that I look at them closer... like muzik said, which way are they facing?
