Last week I filled up (9 gallons of fuel) from a name brand station, and must have received a lot of water along with a little gas, since my '06 X died about 3 minutes after leaving the station.

After a tow to a garage (non-Nissan, small town Iowa), they siphoned the tank, and added some new gas, and got it started after some cranking.

The brand of gas in question said they would cover any expenses "after review", which I am still waiting on a receipt for before submitting. I don't want to throw any mud yet, unless of course they don't reimburse me 100%.

My QUESTION is, inside the fuel neck of new gen X's, is there a little hinged metal flap that covers the hole, or is it just an open chute? I can't remember what the neck looked like, and want to make sure the garage didn't damage or forget to reinstall anything.

Thanks!

Thank you - didn't think so, but the mind plays tricks when trying to remember before & after pictures.
