Hey all, I'm doing some LED shenanigans with the Xterra, I'm trying to figure out what the voltage is regulated at when the engine is running, I'm getting 13.5 volts across the dome lamp, is it 13.8 or 14.4?

Thanks!

that doesn't really help... Usually they're stabalized at 13.8 or 14.4...

I do appreciate your input though!:)

*Ground polarity: Negative
*Minimum revolution under no-load (When
13.5 volts is applied): 1,200 rpm
*Hot output current (When 13.5 volts is
applied): More than 78A/1,800 rpm / More than 108A/2,500 rpm / More than 130A/5,000 rpm
*Regulated output voltage: 14.1 - 14.7V @ 20°C

*Slip ring minimum outer diameter: 26 mm (1.02 in)
*Rotor (Field coil) resistance: 2.1 ohms
*Adjustment range of power generation voltage
variable control: 11.4-15.6V

The LR1110-725 is what is in the OR and S model (probably the X model as well). I have no confirmed this but I would assume the LR1130-701 is in the SE model.

is that to say at accessory points in the car (cigarette lighter, stereo, interior lights, etc) that I'll see a roughly 13.5 volt output (it shouldn't swing outside of that value much?) or that I could see anywhere from 13.5 to 14.7 while the x is running?

Thanks for the info man, I learned something today!!

I get the same reading from my scan guage 2. Even after the water crossing! LOL And I have a LOT of electrical load on mine in toys.
Heee heee heee you'd know if you ran with me!

But, Muzikmans post says it all. Can't do better than that. He's got some crazy Google on steroids search engine.

Muzik doesn't need a search engine. That was off the top of his head :bom:
