Not sure if I'd go with that. LSD's are just another version of our ABLS. They have a certain point that they reach and then the wheels start to spin then you're back to an open diff. Just wait for the locker to come out. ARB is just waiting on someone to pony up to let them use their rig to test fit the first gen locker into a rig with the C200 rear end and the 180A up front which everyone has. If they fit then we know if not then they can have all the specs needed to modify or make one.

:laughing6: you're replying again without reading dan...first, i don't want one..i HAVE a locker :rockin:

manuals don't have the c200...plus i've heard alot of good things about the tractechs. it's alot better system than the ABLS we have, or the LSDs that the old Xs came with. gear-types last forever, and will probably make the internals of the d44 stronger. back when i was jeepin, if you had to go lsd, a gear-type(esp the tractech) was the way to go...was real tight, almost like those tightened clutch-paks on the older X's(which chirp tires when turning)

plus it just shows that the d44 under the fronty,x,and titan is getting some support.

We all should buy ponyboy's front diff and donate it to ARB, so we'll have a front locker.

I don't think they would have to actually drive it. It would probably make it easier on them to not have them in the trucks. This sounds like a good idea...Pony send your front diff to ARB, I need a front locker. :)

If thats all it takes I cant see why someone hasnt let them borrow there X. They would probably get a free setup out of the deal.

Most place don't give free, just reduced cost. You also have to let them have your X for some period of time. It's not a 10 minute job. I am sure someone will at some point, but there are not all that many 2nd gen X's out there.

they already have the lockers to fit both our axles. they do need to install them in the 05 and test them for compatibility. that would include test driving. otherwise you could just throw in the exhisting locker that they already have for the c200. that is what a shop in VA Beach offered to do for me but ARB wont guarantee it since they have not tested it in the 2005 yet, only in previous models.

here is a link to ARB locker for the c200, if you want to throw one in yours you can have it by early next week, just buy one and try it for yourself.

Well, see, if the diff has not changed then why would it not work? Why would it have to be actually driven? Put the locker in the diff, engage it and see if it locks the diff. If it does you are good to go. Driving it around the block a few times isn't going to show you anything different than having the diff on a bench. I have done quite a bit of rear end work (never a selectable locker though) and I can't see what driving it would show.

I think the big question, no one know for sure the spline count on the 05-06 diffs (front or rear).

Ive been considering a Truetrac diff. Some of the Titan guys say that the Truetrac is better than the factory elocker.

I have a manual and was planning on the ARB but for the price the truetrac seems like a great value
