Transmission Leak. . .

Hello everyone,

I was having a look under my 2010 automatic xterra off road today and noticed some leakage/seepage happening around the main seal. Is this something to be concerned about or just something to keep an eye on? Fluid level is good and no drips on the ground

I'm told a rear main seal replacement is not the easiest of jobs.
I would probably try to degrease everything and confirm where the leak originates from

Check your valve covers. 99 times out of 100, the rear main seal is going to leak from the bottom half

Checked the valve covers and it does appear to be some oil residue around the gasket. Thanks for the tip i will start there and see how that goes!
