So I had noticed a strange vibration(like if tires were unbalanced) I drove for about 2 weeks before I noticeda sound. When I slowed down, there was a click, click, click.... I lifted the front end and as the front tire was rotated I could hear a clicking sound coming from the driveshaft area. I put my hand against the transfer case and felt it...OUCH... I think I may have broke a tooth, but I dunno..

I have to bring it in to the stealership and see what they say. I have been cleaning and washing all the mud and dirt off so its not sooo dirty. :thumbright:

Any thoughts on what happened? :dontknow: Tuesday we'll see what Nissan has to say.. :director:

Lets see how they like the bumper and sliders :cheers:

Sorry for the delay in response time, Been sick.. Good news is that its not the transfer case...
It is one of my driveshafts although they did not say which one.. They had to order it and my truck goes back in 4 surgery on the 21st.. Glad it was something simple. They also said it will be ok to drive since its only the "beginning stage". LOL
I'll find out which one it was on the 21st and I'll let ya'll know...

I only had one problem with Nissan 112, I dropped the truck off at 7:30am and @ 3pm, they called me and asked me to leave it overnite, They were running behind, and did not look at it yet. Really not a big deal, only because the weather is sooo nice and I am enjoying the motorcycle (30 mpg)

Hello, Ihad a problem very much like yours but it was not the rear drive shaft it was the front one. here's the short version I blew my front diff (what a mess that was) the day I got my truck back from the shop I put new tires on it. They had a bad vibration so I thought I had them balanced at three different places then I noticed a clicking sound while driving with the window down. So just by chance I was puting on my new BP skid plates and I grabbed my front driveshaft to slide up a bit and to my surprise it had a bad U-joint the one closest to the transfercase. Can you believe that crap it just its front diff replace a week before you think the would have noticed it. Well thats my story I hope you make out well and don't let the stealership push you around.

Front driveshaft would be an easy fix...
Newest update::laughing6:
You are gonna love this one. They took my truck on Friday to see what they could find. Ran outta time:scratch: and I took the truck back, No sense leaving it there all weekend. I drop the truck off Wed. about midnite, only time for a ride to get home ... Thurs at 2:30pm they call and say" we ordered you a rear" HUH, Ok I say.. I go down there and tell them the clicking noise was heard w/ 1 FRONT tire in the air being hand spun. The rear of the truck was still on the ground, which = nothing in the rear is moving....:argue: The service manager tells me that the tech insists its the rear..... Now I feel like they are just removing and replacing till they get it right. angry9: I don't mind the new parts, especially the rear :cheers: since mine has 24,500 miles on it, but they are wasting my day, gotta get a ride to the dealership, then to work, ride home from work, ride to the dealership. AARRgghh...
Worst part is that I am going camping up near Hunter on thurs. - sun next week. If not fixed and something brakes up there, I'll be steamed :cussing: :rant:

Well thanks for letting me release some steam, I'll keep ya updated

Will they let me keep it? How do I go about that. Just tell them I want the old one?
I would think so. tell them you want it for a friend to tinker with. i'm willing to pay a nominal fee for the thing plus packing/shipping etc. also i will wait to see if it really was your front that had the issue.

They won't let you keep the old rear. They wouldn't even let me look at my front diff. Them Basterds Oh and let me just say if your from Jersey do not go to Woodbury Nissan Everything they fixed had to be fixed twice
because of the mechanics error or lazieness I am so afraid that this truck is going to fall apart I actually paid for an extended warranty so I'm good for 100,000k I have 35,895 on it now and I have been in the shop a total of 33 days all warranty work. If you guys are curious to know all that broke I'll make a list. Oh and yes I do a good bit of off roading but nothing that would have caused any of my problems oh crap wait I think the alternator was my fault Paragons puddles are filled with all kinds of coal dust and metals so I think 3 feet of water killed that.

I have yet to find a decent Nissan dealer in NJ. It is starting to piss me off. All the shops are old, dirty, and the staff sucks.
