I agree with Erick. Having the wiring up underneath is handier, though you may need to extend the wiring on your trailer, or make an extension.Gerdo said:I can't belive that Nissan would put the Trailer wiring mount onto the hitch like this. This is a quick shot as I was cutting it off.

Now all I have to do is remount it out of harms way. Any ideas? Pictures?
Thst is how I ended up mounting mine. I drilled a single hole in the bumper and then tucked the connector up behind the bumper and against the hitch tube. I unfortunately don't have my X this week (I'm driving a borrowed H3) so I can't get pictures before Saturday.Erick said:You could probably imitate the Shrockworks bumper mount location. That would be facing the ground mounted upon the inner lip of the rear bumper (That description made sense in my head, maybe someone can provide a pic)...
I agree... what a stupid place to put it. Ask driver X how great that stock location works out offroad...Gerdo said:I can't belive that Nissan would put the Trailer wiring mount onto the hitch like this. This is a quick shot as I was cutting it off.
