Have you checked some of the web sites out there? IE Edmunds.com or something similar. Supply and demand do affect the car market as do regional differences in pricing. And yes 30K seems a little steep to me. I paid 5K less

Damn I paid $23.9k for mine. They are all pretty much the same here in the DFW area and the 4x4 Off Roads are hard to come by.

Whenever gas prices drop a little all incentives and discounts for SUV tend to disapear. Which makes sense right? At $1/gal we would all be driving V10 400hp huge trucks with 37" M/t tires... and at $5/gal we would ride our bicycles...

Most of the time ist just timming. Nevertheless its very usefull to request quotes on-line from all dealers in a 100 mile radius and see what you get. You can try to get a price-above/below invoce, before incentives. And you can find out all the incentives online as well. This will give you an accurate idea of what your local market is doing.

Mine was a bit over 25 grand after TT&L. But some have said that is what they paid for there 4x4 Off Road's. Sucks to be me, but at least the resale is holding up better than I thought it would. Trade in value is 18 grand. Looks like I may just get out of this and into a ford since they have some big ass rebates going that will take care of my negative equity.

Ford will definately put you into more negative equity, they are nixing over 800 workers. The nissan frontier (that i just traded) I had for 5 years had 3000 in equity, my last ford (2000 ranger loaded) had 4500 in neg equity after 3 years. Just some words from the wise and my 2 cents :cyclops:

I hear ya. I test drove a V6 explorer and a V8 F150, wasn't impressed with either one. Looks like I'll be keeping the X and resist trying to do any mods to it.

My sticker was $23,005.00, 06 X trim 4x2 auto, power package, floor mats, cargo cover, cargo organizer, splash guards. I was lucky enough to get them to give me the 1st aid kit and alloy wheels at no charge.
As of today I owe $24,700. Ouch....
