Hello all,

My Wife and I have ordered an '06 Nissan Xterra OR MT in yellow this last week. Now we have to wait for them to find a hidden one or have it go through production. Apparently not many people want the OR MT in this area and the dealers don't ask for them. Oh well, nobody will have abused it before I abuse it then :alien:

I also have my '97 Jeep Wrangler up for sale in the Swapmeet area. Switching back to Nissan after falling off the wagon onto a Jeep. I had a '94 Nissan HB 4x4 pickup before the Jeep. Loved it, but I killed the transmission stupidly.

And now it is time to wait for the X to come in :bounce: Can't wait :cyclops:

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun with the X and I'm glad to be coming back to a nissan. The jeep was fun, but different and lacking where the X will do better for me. Can't wait to head it off-road after breaking it in and getting some rock sliders on it.

Thanks,
Dan

New X..

Woohoo, we got our new X on Monday 8/14. It is not the Off-Road like we were originally looking for. All the deals and finding an OR MT Yellow kept falling through and not much left in any dealer stock through the NE US (fully loaded only). We decided to get an X model MT Yellow instead and fully outfit it with the aftermarket goodies. A lot less money in the long run.
We drove it to Myrtle Beach right after we got it. It's all broken in now according to the manuals break in specifications
Now to order the toys to be here soon :bounce:
We also got the silly stock bull bar on it for free since the dealer didn't notice they put in on :tard:

Yup...

Yup, if you are going for looks then it's ok. But, it does reduce your approach angle. And they had to cut two 2" holes in the bumper to put it on right in front. It feels sturdy, but I don't want to bump the front all the time off road. Dealer said it was about a $500 option. They noticed it when they were cleaning it up after they gave me a quote that didn't include it.

Here is a picture from the brochure:
