Intro Comments: Just a 4 wheeled camping machine for the dog. This Mod flu disease is a real [email protected]$trard! Symtoms include being a TNX member, light wallet, head banging, knuckle bustin', and excessive beer drinkin'. But I saved 15% by switchin' to GEICO.

Thank you all for the informative posts/how too's/answering of all my dumbass ?'s, putting up with my analysis paralysis, and crazy amounts of comedic badassness. :eek:ccasion5:

Don't fight the feeling, mod that thing like there is no tomorrow!

May I suggest removing the mud guards, those will be the first thing to get damaged/dragged when doing any wheeling that involves some rock ledges or mogul type features. Same with the step rails, they can fold/buckle and damage your rockers.

What part of LB are you in? I'm in the 90808.

Flaps/steps definitely will be coming off before my first wheelin' trip in July. Right now my 10 year golden retriever likes to use steps to get in. Think I will need a dog crane after the T/S. Since my motorcycle is my daily driver, many beers will be enjoyed slowly building up the X.

I'm close by 90803. Good to have someone close by. I will send ya a PM.

I'm in Carson/Torrance.
Glad to see another wheeler close by:eek:ccasion5:. We gotta get the local rigs up to Big Bear or Azuza soon. Maybe convince BeeDee and others off SCCX to join up.

I know there were a few delays with the parts, but I believe he has everything he needs now. I’m planning on lending a hand when it’s time to turn wrenches.
Back half is pretty much done. Just final clean up. Starting the front tonight. I am knocking out the M205 swap along with the A-arms, Rads, tie rods all on Saturday. Gonna start early and expecting to be complete or really close to complete by Saturday night.

Is the Titan swap done? post some pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been working on the back half since Sunday. Damn sure wasn't expecting so much cutting and grinding just for a u-bolt flip kit and shock skids. I had to make some custom brackets for the e-brake lines and ABS wires too. I need more hours in a day. I'm enjoying getting back to wrenchin' :happy11:

M205, A arms, hiemed steering and coilovers installed.

It's taken 2 weeks of working 4 hours a day after work (no weekends). But, finally it's ready to go. Just gotta do the torques on the front tonight. Installs were thorough. Everything was cleaned/painted/prepped before being installed. Small dabs of anti-seize of every bolt. Took time to go to Nissan and order all new hardware for just about everything. I prefer to do these things once and once only (hopefully).

Rook's T-Swap sourcing thread https://www.thenewx.org/forum/15-how-tos/46048-how-source-titan-swap-pbr.html was a huge help - Thank you

I used a video off YouTube to help with the install.

Before/After pics to come.

Finally completed the T Swap after a few trips to Radflo. Good thing they are only 12 miles away. The coilover began to unthread from the mount when I tried to adjust it. Radflo took good care of me. Great customer service. They even hand delivered the coilover at my work when they finished fixing it. Although, they shouldn't have needed too...

Lesson learned #1- Order Nisstec flip kit and add PRG bash plate only. The PRG top plate (titan) requires cutting and grinding of ABS wire bracket:banghead:. The Nisstec top plate (frontier) does not.
Is this a recent change? I bought the Nisstec u-bolt flip kit in July 2017 and it came with Titan top plates (with a crappy spray paint job to boot). Definitely required modifying the ABS bracket on an M226, though I don't believe anything on a C200 axle requires modification.

Not that I am aware off. The top mount for PRG comes straight from Nissan and has the titan part number on the sticker. Nisstec looks different. 2 pics below.

I noticed several folks installed the (modified Nisstec flip kit) after I installed the one on my mom wagon.

Odd.. I'll have to take a look under mine tomorrow. Mine from Nisstec came with Titan top plates. They spraypainted over the sticker but the part number was still visible.

Time to get back to the mods!
Installed Snorkel and Volant 05' model (12470). This PITA took a long time.

If I had to do this over again I would modify the box before I started installing. Install came out good.... but, there was a lot of fussing and cussing

Here are some photos of the amazing time I had trying to fit this square into a circle.

I did perform a melt mod to the area that touches the brake lines. Unfortunately the pics don't show much.
