Where is the Sirius antenna mounted on the X? Does anyone find issue with the receiver loosing signal often?

On the windshield next to the mirror. Its freakin huge for a sat. antenna. However, I have had no issues with reception.

On my dash cuz it's a Sportster..Yes I loose lock but only due to my poor Terrestrial coverage in NorCal.....

On the windsheild...sounds like an odd place to mount it. Does it look stupid???

not really, it is just a smal square, i think it looks nice

Mine is in the rear above the hatch on the roof along with the GPS antenna. It's not a bad spot, and it's easy to run the wire through the grommet where the washer fluid runs.

Maybe I got confused with this thread. But I thought you were asking about the stock Sirius antenna. Like I said before, its a big ass antenna on the inside of the cab on the windshield near the mirror.

Thanks, it was the stock Sirius antenna I was referring to. I didn't know where they mounted them when the dealer installs them. Thanks for the info.

06 factory antenna is under the wind deflector. When removed it makes a nice hole to put power and antenna cables through.
