That sucks. I was hoping they'd get some aluminum options to keep up with the jones'.
Since I could drive over and pick stuff up, it was lots cheaper than shipping large heavy plates.

I think someone should create a ongoing list of places to support and places to avoid based on your experience. That way, before you order or pay for anything, you could quickly scan the list(s) and decide if the shop you are thinking about fir parts or service deserve your patronage and hard earned money. I wish I knew how to create 2 new categories on the main page for this purpose.
The trick is, they were one of the GOOD ones. Everyone knew they were a 6month wait, and well worth it. They delivered, unlike some of the others that have claimed "in stock" and still not shipped for a year (or ever).
At this point, ish happens and business is business. You hear it ALL the time that employees show up one day and doors are locked.
Company bankruptcy and closure is USUALLY sudden. Now, if they KNEW they were planning to close and still took on work, that's different.

BTW ya'll. To protect yourself... don't let credit card orders get outside of your protection period.
Have the shop do a refund and re-charge.

This is actually great advice I'll keep in mind going forward.

But in Shrockworks' case they still wouldn't reply even if that was requested I bet.
Right, but thats your cue to start the refund request, which will get their attention.
You then authorize another charge.

White Knuckle IMO makes the best Xterra sliders. Hardcore Offroad is a great alternative bumper as well, and their lead time is typically less than a month and been that way for YEARS. I got mine in 3 weeks.
This. I could drive to shrock to get a sliders.... but I shipped in White Knuckle because of the design (aesthetics and mounting)
I have a Hardcore rear bumper and like it. I put up a bunch of pics here so people could see the structure under it. I think there were questions on strength/design of it, done to keep it on a budget. Not sure I'd tow a camper... but I have no problems with a 4wheeler or winching it.

The fronts looked a little edgy and big to me. More protection, less sleek. That's all just opinions and personal needs though.

MAYBE they've contacted those with orders, as no one else really matters. No need for a public announcement... its not like PR matters.

That sounds plausible, especially if shrock had waiting till it was REALLY bad.
I've known 'scams' where people went after specific things after causing/filing bankruptcy. Like, who wants to buy that old server or desktop at auction? Oh...they guy that knows it has the client list/specs/files/drawings on it.
The generic stuff will go for a normal cost, and you have the chance of snagging things at a bargain or grabbing the things that don't normally sell for pennies. If they're TRULY down the street, then they're ahead of the game already, because moving it is likely near free for them.
