Hi im getting my brothers old 07' Xterra 4x4 for my 16th and I was wondering if anyone could recommend how to platidip the front badge, rear badge, rims, and maybe the grill. And will it come off while I am doing stuff like carwashes, offroading, casual driving, etc...

The only thing you listed that would abrade it enough to start to come off is off roading. Especially here in the southwest with all the pokey plants. After it gets started it will peel off from that spot in the wind, rain, and carwash. It's also something you don't want to leave on for too long, when it gets old it gets harder to take off (especially if it's a thin coat)

For the emblems/badges I have used it and the more layers you put on the longer it last. They do have a line that looks better. HyperDip™
I dipped my wheels, they looked good for a couple years and held up to car washes but brake dust turned them brown. If you want to redo them every year it’s not a bad route.

I've dipped a ton of different badges and emblems and 5 different sets of wheels. Prep work is obviously key. Start with as clean of a wheel/emblem as you can get, then a light fog coat, then 4-5 heavy coats. I don't remember the flash time between coats, I just followed the directions on the can. I have yet to have a wheel or emblem/badge peel off. A lot of the areas I hunt in are covered in short, 8-16" sage brushes which are constantly scrubbing against the dipped wheels and never an issues. I've also never had an issues with a power washer. On my first Xterra, I dipped the wheels and later decided to remove it and thought the pressure washer would make quick work of it, but I was wrong. I held the tip 1/2" away and it didn't damage anything. Granted, it was a public carwash handheld sprayer, but it still had some kick to it. I ended up having to gouge it with a hard plastic scraper, then hand peel it. Once I got to start peeling, it came off fairly easily.

Going with plenty of thick coats after the initial fog coat held up for over a year and also came off fairly easily. When you go with only 1 or 2 coats, it tends to not hold up and removal is difficult. The wheels on my current Xterra were dipped a year or so before I got it (according to the PO) and I can tell they only went with 1 or 2 coats. That stuff is baked on and damn near as hard to remove as powder coating, so it's staying, lol.
