Hey guys, I was up in Vermont this past weekend at Killington doing some skiing. The storm yesterday kicked up some serious winds and some snow. I was in 4wd and cruising at a comfortable 25mph when all of a sudden my X seemed to loose power (for like 1/3 of a second), then I would drive a little bit then it would do it again. It did this a few times and seemed to stop. Then after I was able to shift back to 2wd (weather permitting) I didn't experience it at all. Any ideas on what could be the issue?

Sounds like the VDC is doing its job by keeping the vehicle from lossing control under slippery conditions.

Was the "slip" light flashing when the loss of power occurred?

I didn't notice if it was or not, is this normal when in 4WD, because in 2WD I have never experienced it?

Is there any snow around you at your current location? If so, drive in some in 2wd with the VDC on and step on it. Your dash should flash "slip" and take all power away for just a moment...
