I was driving down the highway early Monday morning and got boxed in behind a semi hauling a rock-hauler. (That is a bad place to be). He ran over a bump in the road and debrie came flying off the truck, hitting me. Only one large piece made contact with my windshield. However, unlike the normal rock-ding, my windshield recieved a hazy scratch right in my line of vision. It isnt deep, and it is about the size of a quarter, but it is annoying.

How can I repair this? IS there a compound I can use to buff it out or fill it in so that it isnt visable to the eye any longer?

there are compounds you can use to buff out glass scratches, try you local auto parts store (pep-boys would probably have it). if it's just a surface scratch it should come out easily, if it's cut into the glass you'll still have a scratch, thou it will be less noticable.

try to buff it out first, if it's still there, be careful, if a cop sees it he may write you a ticket since it's in your direct field of view.
