Just found out about this on the Nexterra forum: Trailer Hitch Recall

That is a realy old recall. If your X falls under the dates affected you should have got a recal notice in the mail. I got a notice 3 times and I didn't even have a factory hitch.

I think that recall was for the Nissan KR-100 tow hitch. My X was made on 9/05 and has the KR-200 hitch.

I never got a notice...

I called the dealership and they told me to make an appointment and bring it in. I haven't gotten around to it yet.

If you own a 2005 model with the following VIN #'s: 5N1AN08**5C600000-658527, you may be affected by the recall. The Nissan Tow Hitch P/N 999TS-KR100 or the Valley Industries P/N 2112-00-385 are the hitches being recalled. Part numbers can be found in the following places: Nissan - Left side of receiver, Valley Industries - Right side of receiver.
