What he said. The oil pressure gauge in the X actually moves when the pressure changes. Unlike most stock gauges in other vehicles I've owned.
If you want to replace the gauge you probably don't want a truely mechanical gauge. That means you will be running an oil line into the interior. Most gauges now will have an electronic sender.
Well, I am sure you could hook one up. Don't know anyone that bothered though. I just look at it as, at least the X has a real gauge and not just a dummy light.
